| Project Date: 2002-2005 Beginning in 2002, working with UCLA Capital Programs and Architectural Design firm Rafael Vinoli Architects PC, the Urban Simulation Team produced a 3D model of the proposed California NanoSystems Institute within the larger model of the greater UCLA campus. The facility, which opened in 2007, is located on the Court of the Sciences and home to researchers in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The 188,000 square foot building provides state-of-the-art shared Core Research Laboratories as well as vast community space for research collaboration. Additionally, the Urban Simulation Team was retained by the CNSI public relations and marketing office tasked with producing communicative materials about the institute and its vision. A product of this relationship was a virtual tour of the facility including major interior spaces, produced by the Urban Simulation Team, which can be found on the CNSI website. |
