In 2007, the Urban Simulation Team was approached by Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the NASA research center located in Pasadena, CA, to develop a 3D model of land they owned and the private adjacent single family residences. The site was being considered for development consisting of a water filter tank array. The purpose of the 3D model was to analyze the environmental impact of the proposed array and to evaluate site lines from the adjacent neighborhood.
