

| Project Date: 2005 On September 15, 2005 groundbreaking ceremonies were held for LALive, a $1.5 billion entertainment district scheduled to rise around Staples Center over the next five years. Highlighted at the event on four large screen displays was the virtural model of the proposed plan created by the Urban Simulaton Team at the request of Anchutz Entertainment Group (AEG). Some of the plans major elements are a 55-story, 1200-room Convention Center Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotel, a 7,100-seat Nokia Theater, a 2,400-seat Club Nokia, a Regal Cinema movie theater complex, Grammy Museum, and a 70,000-square foot ESPN television and radio studio, as well as retail, restaurants, and condominium and apartment towers. |
