Project Date: 2008
Working with UCLA Capital Programs and the Architectural Planning and Design firms of Pfeiffer Partners and Kieran Timberlake, the Urban Simulation Team constructed a model of the proposed Northwest Campus Housing Infill project placed within the surroundings of the UST's broader UCLA campus model. The team's model is currently being used for design modifications and for the purposes of evaluating overall impact of the scheme as a whole.
The project will provide additional undergraduate residences for the UCLA student community. It will consist of approximately 1,525 dormitory beds, 10 faculty in-residence apartments, dining, assembly and support space all totaling approximately 550,000 square feet of new development in four separate buildings on three separate infill sites. Construction is estimated to begin in mid-2009 with completion in 2013. |
